These are a few items I’ve been eyeing.  The Capri Blue Candle is my favorite home scent of all time, and I could go through one of those weekly! I’ve been lusting over the Sydney Evan Love ring for over a year now…(hubby- if you are reading this…hint, hint).  The  calendar made of my Instagram photos are so cute and would be perfect for my desk!  Plus I love looking back at photos and reminiscing…each photo always has a story.
Honestly though,  I’m quite a happy mama…of course, I’d like these things but I don’t NEED them.  This has been the most rewarding year of my life and just hanging out with my little gem for Mother’s Day would be the perfect gift!

I’m totally crushing over these pieces.  As you can see I love arm candy.  I stack bracelets of all sizes all the time, and I even mix up metals.  I love gold and silver together so I don’t mind contrasting metals.  I recently discovered Baublebar, they have the most cute and trendy pieces at such an affordable price.  My love for JCrew has grown this past year, their style seems to be gearing toward more modern elements with the JCrew twist.  So happy they are on their A-game.

I’m always looking for new shops!  Do you have any shops you’d like to expose me to?

the shine project 2013 benefit.

PicMonkey CollageHave you heard about the The Shine Project?  I met Ashley, the founder and creator of The Shine Project at a blogging event a few months back and we instantly clicked.  She truly is the sweetest, motivated, fashionable gal that you just want to be around.  Ashley discovered the lack of programs for inner city youth and launched a non-profit scholarship program to improve the lives of at-risk teens through service, education, and family involvement.  This program teaches inner city students leadership skills to help them achieve their goals and succeed.  The money raised goes to these students to attend college and give back to society.

{I’ll be attending this event on Saturday, April 20th.  COME join me!}

light bulb ideas.

You know when you go about your daily routine and out of the blue “ding” a thought hits you.  I love those moments!  Most of those moments happen at the most inconvenient times though… like when I’m driving and I can’t write anything down.  Then I go on this 15 minute bout with Siri trying to tell her to make a note for me.  Apparently I don’t enunciate enough because every time I look back at my notes, it looks like gibberish.  Any how I will get to the point, I will start a segment titled “light bulb ideas”.  These posts will be about things that I should have done before or seriously… why didn’t I think of that?  I’m not gonna lie, you’ll probably read some posts thinking…”really Uyen…ummm ok?”.  But to me, I will most likely think its mind blowing!

I believe in investing in jewelry that is timeless and classic.  Example, my wedding ring, stud earrings, etc.  But I know most of us are on a fashion budget.  I have many pieces that I adore from Forever 21 or random shops.  And I love that I can stay in trend but not spend a ton.  The problem with those pieces of jewelry, specifically my rings are… well… the mark around your finger reminding you it’s not real!  Not to fret…here comes the light bulb idea!
